Lawrence A. Weaver
Lawrence A. Weaver was a corporal in the United States Air Force, serving with the 387th Bomb Group (M). He entered service Feb. 9, 1943. From June 30, 1943, to July 18, 1944, he was stationed at Chipping Onger, England. He moved to Stony Cross, England, when the English Channel Invasion started, being stationed there July 18, 1944, to Aug. 27, 1944. He went to Maupertus Air Force Base, France, near Cherbourg, France, from Aug. 27, 1944, to Sept. 18, 1944. Lawrence was pulled out of his unit to haul gasoline from the beach to the war front from Oct. 30, 1944, to April 29, 1945, then went back to his outfit at Clastres, France. He was sent to Beek, Holland, April 29, 1945, through Sept. 19, 1945, then to Erding, Germany from September 1945 through November 1945. He was sent back to England in December 1945, and on home and discharged on Dec. 20, 1945, at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis. Lawrence was married to Wandalea Vincent on Jan. 5, 1946.
