John D. Helton, 323 Bomb Group, 456 Bomb Squadron
Martin B-26 Marauder pilot
John Helton; Generals Marshal, Anderson, and Arnold
The Generals came to the base and were greeted by all the B-26 pilots in England at that time. Of course, the Brass on the field wanted their picture taken with the Generals, but they said "we want to have our picture taken with the man who has the most missions". Thus Mr. Helton is in the picture, who eventually ended up with 80+ missions.
- Missions at the time photo taken unknown.
- Mr. Helton is holding picture of him with his bombardier, Mr. Gleason.
